I am comforted to read in the Bible that anxiety is a very real thing. I am not alone in that struggle. We can all experience doubt and worry, but God does not want for those feelings to lead to crippling anxiety. He does not want us to have to sit in the fear and worry alone without a way of escape. He wants to and WILL carry the load for us. He is in control and can work in ways we cannot. We should trust in His power and faithfulness.
5 things I am certain of:
God listens.
God cares.
God helps us.
God is in control.
God keeps His promises.
That alone should ease our mind when we encounter trials or have to face uncertainty and the unknowns of life. We can put our faith in a known God. A trustworthy God!
He wants us to cast all of our doubt, our insecurity and our worry on Him because He CARES for us. He has promised to be with us WHEREVER we go and in WHATEVER we face. He is only a prayer away. He will listen. Acknowledge Him in your life and He will direct your paths, He will strengthen us and sustain us. Trust in Him and cast your burdens at His feet. You will be lifted up and your soul will be delighted.
A Mindfulness Practice:
I have found great comfort and strength in the verses found below. They are a great reminder that God is waiting to hear what is on my mind, that He cares for me and wants to help relieve the anxieties within me. I strive to write these verses on my heart and pull them out to meditate on them. I encourage you to hand write each verse and meditate on how it may apply to your life or a current situation you are in. I have created this free workbook to help you in the process. There is even a blank page included so you can find and write out other verses you find helpful.
Do you have a favorite verse you go to when you need a reminder that God is there to help you with your anxiety? Tell me in the comments below!
